“Post-Emergency Responses: an Integrated Approach to psychotrauma”

October 17-18, 2008 in Tbilisi

The conference aimed to provide a high-quality, professional exchange forum for participants for discussing the past and recent experiences in traumatic stress field, ways of responding to acute crisis following August military actions. The conference offered a comprehensive overview of evidence-based interventions currently available for those affected by disasters both in emergencies and the long-term perspective.

The conference was the official launching event for Georgian Society of Psychotrauma (GSP), the national professional society, affiliated with European Society of Traumatic Stress Study (ESTSS) and established in June, 2007.

 Internationally renowned professionals presented at the conference.
